Job description

Constellr operates in the new space and agri-tech sectors, combining engineering, Earth Observation, and agronomy to address one of the biggest challenges of our time: how to ensure global food security.

To achieve our goals, we need to build a state-of-the-art Data Platform, which transfers our satellite data to the cloud, where we process, enrich, and deliver analysis-ready geospatial data to internal and external customers.

If you are a Software Test Engineer, come and help us design and build this Data Platform.

Why you’ll love working for us

  • You will contribute to bringing the world’s first commercial infrared constellation into orbit / enabling an entirely novel set of smart farming capabilities / building a new biophysical atlas of the biosphere, driving an unprecedented understanding of our planet and its resources

  • You will be part of a fast-growing, multidisciplinary, and diverse team with a strong desire to leverage change and have a real impact
  • You will have a key role in designing and implementing the Data Platform, the backbone of the business
  • You will work with modern technologies, which currently would include Python, S3, Docker, Terraform, Zarr, Cloud-Optimized GeoTiffs, STAC, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and more, but still open for decision

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with software, cloud, and data engineers but also stakeholders e.g., from the product, infrastructure, and image segment teams to ensure their requirements are being met
  • Validate the ingestion, processing, and storage for our Cloud Native Geospatial solution, including but not limited to end2end, behavior, integration, functional, regression, and performance tests
  • Build an automated test platform to enable faster software development and reduce the amount of manual testing
  • Keep up to date with and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and standards
  • Mentor the team on good QA practices
