Your Role
We’re looking for a Cal/Val Image Processing Operator to join our mission-driven team working at the forefront of satellite data. In this role, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and quality of our imagery products, support daily calibration and validation (Cal/Val) activities, and play an important part in improving and automating our data processing pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
Check and validate new satellite images daily to ensure the highest quality data.
Carry out calibration/validation (Cal/Val) analysis at key locations.
Perform image quality control and prepare Cal/Val parameters.
Troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
Contribute to improving and automating processes to make operations more efficient.
Location: This position is offered on a hybrid or remote basis in Germany or Belgium. We have offices in Munich, Berlin, Freiburg (Germany), and Brussels (Belgium). Occasional travel for team meetings should be expected.
Job requirements
About you
Required:
A degree in spatial sciences (e.g., Geography, Geodesy, Surveying, Remote Sensing) or relevant experience in satellite data processing.
Experience working with remote sensing data and an understanding of how it looks and behaves.
Ability to adapt and adjust code to support data processing tasks.
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, shell) and early-stage software tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document and improve processes.
A curious, proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have:
Experience with satellite mission operations or Earth observation projects.
Knowledge of SQL databases and cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Cal/Val activities.
