The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our Product and Quality Assurance (PQA) team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Product Assurance, preferably within the space sector. We are looking for someone who is methodical, detail-oriented, and confident in managing a variety of diverse and occasionally open-ended tasks.
As part of the PQA team, you will play a critical role in setting and upholding the quality and Product Assurance standards across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact the quality assurance of our constellation of satellites as we prepare for launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a robust Product Assurance program, reporting to the Product Assurance Manager.
- Prepare for and participate in subcontractor project reviews and key meetings in collaboration with procurement engineers.
- Lead and manage the Non-Conformance and Change processes.
- Maintain and control Product Assurance lists and registers, including NC lists and Critical Items.
- Provide support for project reviews and prepare associated data packages.
- Assist with spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) activities.
- Participate in hardware inspections and deliveries.
- Balance the need for a rapid implementation schedule with adherence to strict Product Assurance requirements.
Location: This is a remote position, with occasional travel required for supplier visits and team events.
Job requirements
Essential:
- A degree in engineering or science.
- Proven experience in product or quality engineering within the Space sector.
Ideally, you will also bring:
- Experience in Materials and Processes engineering (M&P).
- Familiarity with Electrical and Electronics engineering (EEE).
- A strong ability to commit to project plans, deliver expected results on time, and proactively report any anticipated deviations.
- The capacity to quickly expand application-specific knowledge and adapt to new areas of responsibility with ease.
- An engaging and collaborative team-player mindset, driven by a desire to contribute to and shape the organization’s success.
- The ability to work independently, think analytically, and remain results-focused.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- A disciplined and organized approach to work.
